This blog is more of a 'do as I say and not as I do'. I had so many issues with creating this simple, yet complex cosplay. I will try and go over what I did, and how I would do it differently.
This cosplay was a special request for a lvl 100 patron. I was more than happy to get this character, because she's been something I've wanted to make for a while.
Over all, I'd say I did just an 'ok' job with this one. There is lots I could do better. That being said, it was my first time making wings, and I had a good second attempt at making a proper bunny suit.
Read along to see what I did.
Materials
Boots
I had a pair of plain black high heels that I made some boot covers for. These are really simple to make and just slide over your shoes. You could also find some plain black boots to use as well. GGEZ

Gloves
Again, these were simple to make, just measure your wrist and upper arm, and the length you want the sleeves to be. Then just cut and sew. Also GGEZ

Tights
I highly recommend an airbrush for this portion. Make a bat stencil using painters tape. Make sure its not flimsy, as you're been using it a lot.
Wear your tights and stick the stencil where you want the bat. Lightly airbrush, doing more layers as you need. Run a hair dryer over the bat to speed up the drying process. Remove the stencil and rinse and repeat.
I used watered-down fabric paint to make the bats. If you didn't have an airbrush, you could buy some tights on etsy, or use a stencil brush and paint. If you go with the stencil brush and paint, it will take a while for the bats to dry, and its easier to smudge.

Bunny Suit
Ok, the big section, I will explain what I did, then I will write what I should have done.
Wrap yourself in plastic wrap and tape. Draw out a pattern on yourself, being careful to mark the waist in each pattern piece. I used 4 pieces: Center Front, Front Side, Back Side and Center Back. Once you have your pattern pieces, you're going to make some mock ups (like 3 at least).
Make a bunch of mock ups, tweaking the pattern as you go along. Once you're happy with how it looks, you can cut out your lining and good fabric. I interfaced both lining and nice fabric for extra sturdiness. Sew everything together, and press all your seams. Then you can add your boning. I use bias tape to make little channels to slide the boning in. Your flat boning should go in the front and the spiral boning goes on the sides.
I also added some cups for extra shape. After all the boning and cups are in, sew everything up, crotch and all. You can then add all the eyelets and lacing.
The feathers are just measured and sewed on.
After all that, my bunny suit did not fit right. It was bulky and not as tight as I wanted. I ended up removing the heart cut-out I patterned in to make the suit smaller and cinch better. The heart shaped cut out is just a piece of felt. I also found that it was loose around my bust and I had no idea how to fix it.

What I should have done was sew my pattern a little smaller, so that I could cinch myself in tighter. I also feel my suit is bulky and I probably didn't need to interface both fabrics. As for the boning, I feel I could have gone with all spiral boning and added more.
You could also make this out of stretch fabric and wear a waist cincher underneath to help hold the wings against your back. This is honestly what I should have done.
There are tones of tutorials on bunny suits out there, if you're looking to make one- I am by no means and expert, but I still hope this helps.
Headband and Wings
I have never made wings before- So this is me winging it so to speak.
I cut out 2 wing shapes for the headband, and shaped some wire to go along the spines of the wings. The wire wraps around the headband. I used some hot glue and foam to glue the wire in place. I then bent the wire and shaped the wings so I was happy with them.
I covered the wire with foam clay- make sure to use fresh stuff! I also sculpted out the details like the wing vein and little claw. Once both wings were done, I let them cure for 48 hours before trimming off some foam bits. Then it's easy as prime and paint.

The wings were more of the same, except I attached the wire spines to a wire loop that sits under my bra and bunny suit. The wire was taped to cover any sharp ends.
Same procedure of glueing the wire, adjusting the fit and adding foam clay.
I'm pretty happy with how light the wings are, but I made them the wrong shape, so they don't look the same as the art.

Thats about it, hope this helps some of you out!
Good luck
