New Vid: Peach Mom & Benefit of the Doubt
Added 2022-08-24 15:40:59 +0000 UTC
Hey cuties,
I intended to make a small little video, a little one about a little subject to tide you over between bigger projects. But this is just a regular ass Thought Slime 2.0 video, isn't it? This is that old shit, that shit you crave.
This one is more of a ranty editorial, about a very silly and already ancient topic. I tried not to get self righteous and failed miserably, but you can learn from my failure. Like a swarm of crabs, you can pick the meat from my sunbaked failure bones.
Lovingly yours,
Slime Slime
Thank you for including the 💩
Also: good on you for admitting your devious traits. 😂 As a feminist, might I offer you a BJ?

Before watching this video, I had only ever seen this comic once, completely out of context and without ridicule. I thought it was unironically funny, and quite relatable. I don't have a partner, but this interaction happened all the time between myself and my dad, where I would "eat the peach without thinking." So now knowing that that comic, caused so much hate... makes me sick to my stomach 😖😖😖

I prefer using werewolf rather than a regular wolf. I feel it gives the smoothie a certain je ne sais quoi that really gives it a punch.

I notice a lot of women place unreasonable expectations on themselves all the time. It's easy to judge them for being neurotic and not the culture that puts the pressure on them to perform that perfect image all the time. Especially with motherhood, and especially with social media. The internet's became a place of high judgment caused by high expectations, caused by everyone fawning over unrealistic, crafted images of what a perfect whatever looks like.

Also she's totally right you should absolutely use frozen fruit for smoothies, chop that fresh fruit up and have it with yogurt or a fruit salad or smth

I think I ended up disliking the peach mum comics as much as I initially did because they gave me the "haha I'm a wine mom who hates my kids!!!" vibe, which is mostly isn't. This video is a good new perspective on her stuff! I was probably too negative on her when it first came around.
Man tho, it seems like it would be a bummer to make a comic series primarily focusing on negative attributes of your partner cos that'll make them become viral moments - based on the captions she clearly loves her husband and it sounds like he does actually do a solid amount of the housework (though probably not the fairest split) but I doubt she'd do good numbers if her comics focused on the two of them just loving each other. That's not a criticism of her, just a bummer about how the algorithm seems to always reward negativity.

I know that the example you gave of her complaining that she's too hot to have an unhelpful spouse was supposed to be bad, but honestly, women leveraging their appeal in order to find a more helpful and attentive lover is based as fuck

Great vid Mildred! I've been thinking a lot lately about how well-meaning people end up enabling these harassment "Death Spirals" as you put it, and so much of it seems to come from people just always assuming the worst about people they don't know.

Not only is the editing top tier (Thought Slime 3.0 does it again!!), this is so true and you are right and you should say it. As a peach mom apologist from day 1, thank you

If you don't mind my amateur opinon: I think you're really finding your "voice." Your content is just...yours, unique and niche in a way that is indescribable, but apparent. That's a hallmark of a creator.

Heard "Misogynistic Death Spiral" and assumed it was a new black metal band.

Glad there's a discussion about fresh vs frozen fruit in a smoothie. I'm all about freeze peach in comics.

In my official capacity as a mom with a husband, who watched this saga unfold with enormous trepidation, THANK YOU. Also I laughed a lot. May your toilet overflow with cupcakes.

From the title I thought this was going to be about whether Peach was Bowser Jr.'s mother

I don't hate peach mom, I hate the weirdos that ruined us being able to make fun of her dumb comic and not feel bad about it.
