I know Arzette isnt a remake, but its probably the best example I can think of, where a dev team tried to recreate the magic of an era long gone, and not only succeeded, but also made a noticeably better product out of it. I think that when it comes to understanding and appreciating the context of that once flawed but beloved era... (that being mid 2000's youtube poops that embraced the cdi games years later)... Arzette sits proudly at the top.
