Dragon Age: The Veilguard - Nevarra Dull Moment (Review)

I have finally reviewed Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Incidentally, it's the first time I've reviewed a Dragon Age game since Origins. How about that? Anyway, CLICK HERE for the full scoop!

Dragon Age: The Veilguard - Nevarra Dull Moment (Review)

Comments

This is an interesting one for me because I totally get the complaints that a lot of fans have (The ones that don't contain the word 'woke' anyways) and I like the old Dragon Age games, but I'm actually enjoying the hell out of Veilguard. It did take some time to grow on me. I was instantly in love with the character creator, but I think the games most clumsy and repetitive writing is at the very beginning in the first six or seven hours. I also think the design in the first couple of areas is...not bad, but just...a lot. It's hard to enjoy any one aspect because everything is trying to grab your attention...so then nothing was. (And Dorian's design bugged me too...I try not to think about it) The more I've played, the more I like it though. There is still a ton of cheesy and clumsy moments (Kind of feel like that's been Bioware for a while though.) but there are also just...genuinely well written and acted moments too. And I like the combat. I think it's a lot of fun. I quite like turn-based stuff too, but the sort of hybrid turn-based system was never one I was married to. I didn't hate it, I just don't really mind that it's different.

The Animated Heroine

"If you don’t have Davrin or Taash popping off taunts, prepare to have demons and darkspawn in your face as if you’re made of twatnip." That made me laugh. The whole review did. I'm a fan of the series since Origins, so I have mixed feelings (and they retconned the elves! aaaa!) but I'm having a good time. I'm a simple lass with simple needs.
