In the movie, Lee Choon-jae was sentenced to life in prison for sexually assaulting and killing his sister-in-law in 1994, and DNA from evidence from the fifth (1987), seventh (1988), and ninth (1990), which were unresolved serial murders, was found to be the same as Lee Choon-jae’s DNA in 2019. At the end when he was looking into the camera ー he was looking at the killer who was free at the time of the release of this movie and the director knew the killer will come to watch the movie AND another interpretation might be he is also looking towards the general audience as the little girl said the killer looks normal...
