I set my studio on fire ;) This was fun and long overdue. I got a Panasonic 7k ANSI lumen projector for this project, which turned out to be more than enough.
Projector setup: I placed the projector at a height of 1.6m and projected slightly downward. I took a photo directly from the projector lens, which made mapping easier.
Image preparation: I cropped and centered the photo in Photoshop.
Vector creation: Using Illustrator, I created vector shapes based on the photo and added new design elements on the wall.
3D content creation: I designed video loops in 3D.
Mapping: I mapped the reference photo using Resolume Arena.
Layering and effects: I layered the content and added effects in Resolume.
Audio synchronization: I set up an arrangement in Ableton Live to trigger columns in Resolume.
Additional effects: I used VVVV to send OSC signals to Resolume for BPM-synced effects.
