Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

We hope you enjoy the video!

Comments

Hey, weren't you in Warp Reactor's comments too? Good to see you again, beltalowda🫡

Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think it’s spoiled anything

Others will likely mention this as well, but as you go into your Season 3 reactions, I would recommend looking away from the opening credits for a little bit moving forward. There's a small spoiler in there that eagle-eyed viewers may catch at one point. Since you guys generally pay close attention to the intro, I'd recommend just looking away or talking amongst yourselves during it for a little while. The fanbase will certainly tell you once it's safe again lol. Also, just as a quick note to clarify where everything stands at the end of the episode, remember that we as the audience know a bit more than the Roci-crew regarding who has the Protomolecule at this point. We actually know that neither Earth nor Mars have it at this point. Mao cut off Earth/ Errinwright in the first episode of the season and then Errinwright made his power play in the previous episode that prevented Mars from collecting the Protomolecule Hybrid from Ganymede. The Roci crew doesn't know the details of these events, so in their minds, both factions have samples. This is why Naomi is saying the Belt deserves it as well, because otherwise the factions would use the Protomolecule as another way to put their boot heels on Belters (which is what happened at both Eros and Ganymede). But the inference we are supposed to get during her final speech, is that she actually made the Belters the only faction with a sample as of this moment.

Great reaction as usual. Just a couple of quick comments. The Martian ship over Venus was real. The term for whaat the protomolecule did to the Arborghast is "disassemble." Fun fact: the actor who did the body motion capture work of the PM hybrid was Elias Toufexis, who played the spy, Kenzo in S1... and was considered for the role of Amos before Wes won the part. Even funner fact: a lot of people consider S3 as their favorite season. If you think the show has been good so far, you ain't seen nuttin' yet. Buckle up for an amazing ride. 🚀

T. Arnold Ferguson

Pudgey was correct once again.

Shannon Baron

Huge Betrayal by Naomi here. Not only did she not respect the decision that the crew made together, she undermined their whole effort of getting rid of the PM. The whole speech is nice and all, but risking the entire system and the whole of humanity just so Betlers would have a sample too ist just so ethnocentric. Esp. Holden, but also Alex and Amos (somewhat) want to save people from the PM, no matter what faction they belong to, Naomi just cares about the Belt, which she already admitted after Eros crashed into Venus, I really don't like her way of looking at things and the way she handles that stuff.

Florian

Holy shit, that was awesome!!!

The soundtrack for the last 5 minutes in this episode was haunting, cosmic, it has an almost mystical touch to it. And yet for all its sadness, it was beautiful. I'm glad Naomi finally confessed to Holden. I understand why she did it but what will Fred do with his sample now, and what does it "want" in general, disassembling an entire ship in a nanosecond like that? Wow. Amos certainly showed Holden, the Cap, notable Homage this episode. 😉

Paul

Spartan, I have also said 'homage' the way you said it. You aren't alone :D

Gail Ferguson

Great reaction, guys. You all are doing well with this show. I enjoyed this episode. That protomolecule humanoid was freaky. Strength, intelligence, eats radioactive material for breakfast, can survive heavy duty weapon fire and breathes without a vac suit. There would have to be a lot of changes to a human to turn it into a protomolecule driven being. Doesn't need oxygen, is immune to radiation and actually is fueled by it. I feel good that Mei is still alive. I really hope they can get to her. Bobby kicked ass this episode, again. I loved Amos growth. I was surprised he knew about crush injuries and how they release electrolytes into the blood fast. Could cause a heart attack or if not that they will trash the kidneys and eventually cause a heart attack.

Lyn Hurst

I agree. I love seasons 4-6 too but season 3 is peak TV. The season 3 finale is one of the best episodes of TV ever made.

Sheri

Another great reaction! You are correct, the end of the second book isn't until Season 3 Episode 6, so that's the real "finale," after which the seasons and books align.

Sheri

And omg, I can't believe this wasn't mentioned, but as a promo for Season 2, SyFy did a Season 1 recap with cats (recat). Its hilarious. Would love to see a reaction to that, but if you can't, still worth watching anyway: https://youtu.be/yNVDXHjI1wg

Lindsay Mathieson

Edit: Just realised I linked to a honking big spoiler

Lindsay Mathieson

Loved the pacing in this episode. Simultaneous ship drama on the Roci, Mao's ship and the Venus mission.

PNWKyle

We saw the Martian ship by Venus before. When they were sending the probes down they sent them right by the ship. We saw more of how the protomolecule is connected. The moment Roci burned the Hybrid in the drive plume, the Martian ship disappeared and the Arboghast was stopped and disassembled.

Golladan

I can’t believe we’re done with season 2 already!! It’s going by too fast! But ultimate peak season 3 is next and I really cannot wait to see your reaction to it! Truly one of the greatest seasons of television to ever exist

AnastasiyaK

Nice an early release, I don't have to wait up past midnight ! Thanks!
