2026-01-03 14:12:29 +0000 UTCVenezuela is a socialist country and their president at the time Hugo Chavez did NOT have nice things to say about the USA to put it mildly. He labeled the USA as an evil empire essentially and was anti everything to do with our foreign policy in particular. His rule is often reported as being extremely corrupt. We were not on good terms with them then, and we certainly aren't in the present either with what's going on in the world.

My grandma who lives in small town Ohio sat on the board in her town for half her life and has tons of very close friends in a small town in Austria because of it. I wanted to volunteer to be an organizer but I live in the capital so we have a million sisters and they're almost all major capitals. Just not the same intimate connection.

2026-01-02 07:49:51 +0000 UTCDonna and Jerry were both in the first season, but they were just background characters in the office that didn't get much attention at first. But I think you'll start to like them going forward! This isn't one of my all-time favorite episodes, but "believe it or not: jail" and "straight to jail" are probably some of the things my best friend and I say to each other the most often!!
