2025-07-29 00:16:47 +0000 UTCIt's been so long since I watched the theatrical versions, that I really can't easily determine the differences. Except for the lighting of the beacon fires...that sequence is so much better in the extended version because we can see more beacons to get the idea of the distance between Gondor and Edoras. And the music swells and builds such that I get chills every time.
