I doff my cap to the 'meeting Sting/that would sting' dad joke! When I first saw this episode all the way back, chance had it I'd just watched the Godfather trilogy a few weeks earlier, so the spoof at the end was extra funny with the source material still fresh in my mind. Yeah, Phil is mirroring Al Pacino as Michael Corleone acting as godfather at a christening in church, while his henchmen carry out some of the bloodiest and most violent acts of retaliation ever shown on a mainstream film. From memory there is no direct equivalent to setting loose the rats though, like there is with the horse's head.
