Haha, fair point about AoT, but there the first episode was far more engaging, less focused on building characters and instead more focused on the world and the conflict.. the kid era for sure was not as well represented..but it did other things great. I love Vinland so far, it's similar in terms of..how serious it is, but different coz it seems like a more character heavy story, focusing on that..which we all love here! Hahah, the Thors and Toji death is hard not to compare! :D

2025-09-20 14:51:48 +0000 UTCEven though they’re similar, I’ve always felt that Thorfinn is everything Eren should have been, especially in terms of how their stories begin. With Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, I never really thought of them as kids, but Thorfinn always felt like one and it was natural, more engaging for me. It’s like there was a manual for the AoT kids - each one representing a single trait. Eren is the hothead, Mikasa is the strong one, Armin is the smart one. With Thorfinn, though, we don’t really know him yet. He’s just a traumatized kid, and we have to see how he'll deal with it. P.S when I first watched Jujutsu kaisen and saw Toji dying standing up, first thing I thought was "oh just like Thors" :D.
