This is another one of those amazing anime that I'm worried we'll never see the rest of it animated and have to rely on reading the Manga alone for the rest of the story. And while that isn't inherently a bad thing, it still would be amazing to see these characters continue to grow together. The Manga is complete now, so I'll hold a little hope, but 2022 was a while ago now. Hope we hear something sometime soon.

2024-09-02 18:29:15 +0000 UTCIts really sad that we still dont have confirmation of season 2, sadly it seems like the director and a lot of the staff made another studio and seem to be having some ups and down, there most recent proyect is going to be Atelier of witch hat if I am not mistaken but that mean we dont know anything about a next season. Which is a shame because the second year is in my opinion the best part of the manga.

The manga itself is actually coming to an end soon according to the mangaka, so they might use that occasion as an excuse to do the next season. Maybe. Hopefully. PLEASE LET THAT BE THE CASE. Regardless, perhaps in the meantime you could get a kick outta rewatching it in the english dub! It's pretty solid in general. OR read the "pilot" manga that features a far more directly autistic-coded (and slightly deranged) Komi. You can find it on mangadex under the name "Komi Can't Communicate. (Oneshot)"

2024-09-02 15:22:41 +0000 UTCThe end of this episode teases a bunch of characters, so I've always been hopeful for another season but yeah there has been no official confirmation and the studio that worked on it had some serious issues with their most recent anime, Zom 100. That said Komi is up to 34 volumes now and this season covered up to chapter 129 which is the first chapter in Volume 10, so there is A LOT to cover.
