2024-12-07 14:48:09 +0000 UTCWhen Hayato said that if you only had a single option, it wasn't really a choice, my interpretation was that he was referring to the fact that he knew Yumiko and others wanted to follow him in whatever he picked. I think he wanted Yumiko and others to pick a field that they actually wanted to do instead of just blindly following him in whatever he picked, so that's why he was being secretive about his plans. He perhaps didn't want to have to feel responsible for the decision Yumiko and others would make if they knew what he was planning on doing.
