The Other, Alternative, Animatronically-Animated Series
Added 2018-01-02 22:30:52 +0000 UTCAs the cartoon's progress chugs along, a void still exists on the uploads page of the cartoon's YouTube channel. Yes, the episode will eventually be on that page, but I would like something I can steadily upload to the channel that will keep people interested in the project in the not-so-exciting meantime.
Starting this month, on my off-time, I'm going to be putting up a green screen, 3d-printing animalpeople skeletons, soldering some servos, and working on some AFIS animatronic puppets. My goal is to be able to throw in little tidbits of the AFIS story (and possibly some ridiculous non-canon skits as well) in the form of 2-3 minute-long videos featuring hand/wire-operated puppet versions of the main AFIS cast.
Drawing 3 minutes of frame-by-frame animation takes months, while filming, voicing, and editing a 3 minute video of puppets flying in space would take me a weekend.
This will not affect the progress of the animation, as it will just be my quiet little weekend project that will hopefully keep current fans (and maybe some new ones) interested in this weird alternative SF universe through the power of funny green-screened puppet videos.
I'll be posting massive amounts of progress on this as I go.

2018-01-02 22:39:42 +0000 UTCI'd be most interested in hearing about your animatronics work. I do animatronics as a hobby with the emphasis on making fursuit more realistic so to mimic the wearer's emotions, movements etc.
