I'm so happy I got to see his personality shine through this episode since we've only gotten to see the dulled-out version of him due to his amnesia. It was just beautiful.
I wonder, though, what the symbolism behind Rengoku's katana charm is and why Muichiro reacted to it. I'm sure he was close to Rengoku, but I want to know the significance of that moment to him.

2023-06-04 23:26:09 +0000 UTCI think the reason Muichiro reacted so hard to Rengoku's sword guard is that this is the first time outside of his amnesia that he realizes Rengoku had died. It is basically the first time he was able to mourn his fallen friend because of his amnesia state keeping him clouded to things around him.
