Chapter 5 release date, Chit-chat & Happy 2017!

Versus X: Hello Patrons! Happy new year!

Meguido: Yo everyone! I hope you have a happy new (well...) year!

Versus X: As you can see this is a new kind of posting. We’ll be making this kind of posts from time to time speaking of important stuff. This is like a more personal way to communicate with you all instead of simple ‘development reports’.

Meguido: ^Exactly that. This way we can talk more naturally and treat some in depth topics.

Versus X: This time the topic for this chit-chat will be ‘our hopes for 2017’ or something like that.

Meguido: More like ‘our high-hopes for 2017’ hahaha. It would be really cool to achieve everything we expect for this year but let’s say this are ‘our hopes’ not ‘the real stuff we’ll achieve’.

Versus X: Yeah! but let’s begin with something real: the end of Punished Mai.

Meguido: Oooh yeah! that one is like a BIG news. Let’s go with this one then.

Versus X: Let’s see... I can say that Chapter 5 (the last chapter of the game) and its extras are finished, tested and uploading right now. Do you want to know the release dates?

Meguido: Hmmm interesting. And that’s a nice question… Do I wanna know the release date? Let me think…

…

Meguido: Hahaha of course, give the details :D.

Versus X: OK, here we go, Here is the release date:

* 1-20-2017 for Crocodile Patrons.

This means:

* 1-6-2017 (2 weeks earlier) for Fox and Hound Patrons.
* 1-13-2017 (1 week earlier) for Eagle and Jaws Patrons.

Versus X: What do you think?

Meguido: Wow! That’s how it’s done! So it’s basically around the corner. So in this month our Patrons will be enjoying (or so we hope :P) our first completed game.

Versus X: Nice, isn’t it? And also don’t forget that during this year we’ll release the ‘Gold edition’ of the game for Patrons with the highest tier.

Meguido: Oh that’s right, I almost forgot about the Gold edition. That’s what we could call the “complete version” of the game. Or maybe more like those GOTY editions companies release on console games xD. Am I right?

Versus X: Yes, it will have some nice extras inside and outside the game and also some little changes.

Meguido: Hmm that sounds like things people will like to know more about. So here comes the question: What details can you tell about the Gold edition?

Versus X: … None .... ha ha ha

Meguido: :O Oh c’mon are you kidding? So you can’t really share any details on it?

Versus X: It’s on design phase so… maybe i can tell you 2 things. What do you think?

Meguido: Well it’s better than nothing. But it’s entirely up to you. Maybe do you prefer to save that info for another chit-chat where we can give full details about it. You’re the boss.

Versus X: Oh! Doesn’t matter, they are just two little things: 1/ The maximum level will be changed from 10 to 20. 2/ One of the ‘outside game’ extras will be an art book that combine the previous five mini-artbooks in an organized way with tons of new and exclusive content.

Meguido: That sounds cool. Changing level cap from 10 to 20 tho… I guess there’s a reason for that but that will imply more PH and maybe will make Player too much OP?

Versus X: I think that PM has tons of powerful enemies even on the easy mode hahahaha so this will make the life of the player a little bit easy.

Meguido: Maybe now everyone will be able to play it on Normal mode -hehehe- xD.

Versus X: Yeah! That’s the idea hahaha.

Meguido: Wow I just took a look at what we talked already and i think it’s a bit much and we’re still talking about Punished Mai :P. So I think we should be moving onto other stuff, even if it’s not too much xD. So what do you think? Do you have anything else to add to Punished Mai’s info right now or should we get back to our hopes for this new year? xD

Versus X: Is OK, let’s continue with the new projects. Do you want to begin?

Meguido: Well, I’d like to begin but tbh I don’t know how to start this topic, so I’ll let you do it hahaha.

Versus X: Well then… I have big expectations to begin the releases of RTP Ero-Adventures. We’ve made great progress on this game lately so I hope that at least this year we’ll be releasing some missions of the game. Also i’m a bit nervous to see the reactions of our actual Patrons about a game that is practically the opposite to Punished Mai.

Meguido: Yeah, that’s right. I think that RTP Ero-Adventures is currently our most advanced (in development) project. Things should go really… like REALLY bad to not releasing more than one mission of that game. Also I understand your feelings about that, but i think our Patrons do also like other game genres :> And of course we’ll be open to suggestions.

Meguido: More on the subject: Is there any detail you can share about the game right now? Or maybe tell about when will we see something ‘tangible’ about it? It’s been a long time since the last screenshot xP.

Versus X: OK here is a little screenshot of Kalasanga woods . And coming soon we’ll be posting more info on the status of the game. Now, Meguido-san tell me something that you expect for this year…

Meguido: That looks pretty cool (and not as dark a PM xD). Hehe something I expect for this year? Well i can tell you about some things. Which one do you want to talk of first: Vile Resident, Chains of Destiny or Omnia in Unum?

Versus X: Why don’t you begin with this ‘thing’ about the 3 projects that we’re preparing?

Meguido: Oh you mean the huge changes we’re making to the projects since we first announced them. You already talked about those changes without specifying exactly what they are. As so I will do, sry xD. I can’t say the changes yet, but what I can say is that we’re working really hard on getting the ‘things’ we wanna show to everyone ready as soon as possible. Want more details?

Versus X: If you want to say something more… If not we can move on.

Meguido: Well I could specify a bit more about what to expect on 2 of the 3 projects. If you give me the “yes” xD.

Versus X: You’ve it…

Meguido: Ok, well it’s just a little bit of info. So in one of the projects what we’re going to show (along with the explanation of the changes of course) is a teaser-trailer showing a bit of it’s current status. The other one will show some gameplay along with some screenshots, details and who knows maybe a very (and I mean VERY) early pre-alpha playable teaser… and up to here i can read :P

Versus X: Nice, now tell us about what you expect from Chains of Destiny, as a director of the game, for this year.

Meguido: Hahaha that’s what I’ve been waiting to read. Well because I can’t give all the info just yet, I’m going to say that I really hope that this year sees at least the release of the first playable area (and hopefully) completely bug-free. But you know it doesn’t depends entirely on us… But I like to think positive about this.

Versus X: Cool a playable area is more that I can expect due to the complexity of this project. Now I can’t wait to the moment that we can show it publicly… You know how much i love this game hahaha. Now tell us something about Vile Resident our little ‘tribute’ to Resident Evil. As we have already published the main storyline is ready. Can this mean that we’ll have some juicy news of this project in 2017?

Meguido: Hahaha yeah i know how much you love it (I do it too) and really hope people to love it too when we show it. About Vile Resident being optimistic as I wanna be, I’d say this year is going to be really good for it. More than juicy news I hope to release the first 2 chapters of the game at least (or maybe I’m going really crazy about what a two-guys dev team can achieve in a year XP).

Versus X: Really, really, nice. It sounds really crazy but the only thing that we’ve right now are our hopes so let’s go for it. Looks like there’s only one project left...

Meguido: He he he yeah that’s what it looks like… or no?

Meguido: Here I am going crazy again lol. Well back on subject. Here’s my turn to make the question. What are your hopes/expectations for this year on Omnia in Unum (our ¿little? ‘tribute’ to the Final Fantasy saga)?

Versus X: To say the truth, the most important thing that I expect for this massive project in one word is: stability. This means find its graphic style, write the complete story and have a good and solid gameplay design. Yeah, it sounds boring for the consumer… but on the other side, this project is more than a game and have side projects that will be very active this year as the drawings of Anal Crisis or a little 3D comic that I’m planning with Lightning and Serah from Final fantasy XIII. And the best part of this is that all of this little projects are story related to the main project.

Versus X: OK, OK, I want to release at least one chapter of Omnia in Unum :P

Meguido: Oh wow. That sounds amazing. The part of the side projects was unexpected for me too (well sorta :P). So basically we’re acting like a big company (SE in this case) and approaching Omnia in Unum like a real compilation. Something we could call “All in One” he he he.

Versus X: Yeah! We’ll be paroding SE hahahaha

Versus X: Oh man! Look how much we’ve talked right now…

Meguido: Oh wow you’re right, this gonna be a pain in the ass for the patrons to read all this (hopefully won’t). And after talking about every project so far I think this is the perfect moment to put an end to this first Chit-chat session. I hope this kind of format appeal our patrons because even tho its a long post it was really funny to talk like this.

Versus X: Yes, it have been really nice. Before finish there are 3 things i want to say: 1/ This will be a nice year for little projects while the big ones take form. 2/ We have to update the main Patreon page in order to include all the projects we’re working on. 3/ From now, Meguido will be making posts here on Patreon for your pleasure and engaging ^^. Anything to add Meguido-san?

Meguido: Well to add, I’d say that I’ll try to post really frequently. Maybe 2 / 3 times per week. Of course those posts won’t be as long as this one xD. What I really want is to make people be up-to-date as fast as possible with any development we make. I’ll explain in depth what this will mean for our Patrons and also for us, in my first post soon. So I guess this is the good bye for now isn’t it?

Versus X: It is, you can say bye if you want.

Meguido: Yeah I want to say “see you soon space cowboy!” XD. Going crazy again hahaha.

Meguido: Oh wait, I think would be cool if we do a recap of what we said in just a few lines. What do you think?
