A Clarification

Yeah: I hadn't looked at Pokemon since gen 1 and this got me interested in other pokefics because of how it built the world up to be interesting, and I wanted more.

I stopped paying attention to Pokemon back in Gen 2(Gold specifically), and the only reason I started reading BoC was because it was incredibly highly rated. Then I absolutely couldn't put it down and found myself re-reading the entire thing and even looking up to see how much a copy of Emerald would put me back (and immediately looking into emulators). I pledge because you are a damn good writer who talks about a fictional world in realistic terms that few others really get into. As someone who loves the details it makes me feel good to support that. Keeping doing what you do, and enjoy it. We will just be here off to the sides doing what we can to support that and enjoying the result in the meanwhile :)

Your stories some of the best shit I've read and I've been an avid reader ever since I learned to read as a tyke so I'd like to think that means something. I genuinely enjoy your stories as much and sometimes more than stuff like the Stormlight Archive. And if a little bit of money can help such an awesome author leave their shit-ass job and make their dreams come true then I'd say that's some good fucking value and I assume a lot of other patrons think similarly.)

The way I see it, the money I spend on Patreon is money better spent that throwing it away on a Cable Subscription. You provide entertainment, so you get my entertainment budget.

There's a reason people pledge to you. It's not because of a veiled threat. It's not because of day early access to draft chapters. It's nothing other than the fact that you are a great writer. You've quickly shot up to the most favorited and liked pokemon fics for a reason. You bring *life* to your pokemon world. You explore niche concepts and aspects that 99% of fics will never touch. Every major character and moment in your story is multifaceted and contributes. It's obvious you care for the franchise and the how much time you put into every chapter. You don't need to rely on gimmicks or overused tropes to get popular. You don't need !smart !op !betrayed !harem !gamer shit. Lee excels because of his life experiences and his care towards animals. Just like you're excelling in this fic because you care about it and the readers' experience. Just keep being you dude. You're doing it right.
