Anyway, this is one of those dumb journals I've made, where nuns can literally absorb the sin from people. It's an idea I had a while back that actually exists in my world. There's a convent of nuns known specifically to aid people by taking curses/ailments onto themselves. They're world renowned for being able to do this with almost any curse. Any ole' healer can deal with a regular curse, (appearance changing curses, stat drains, silences, etc,) but adept witches can do very nasty shit, (like permanently de-age you, turn you into a zombie, cause eternal pain, any number of things really.) These nuns 'heal' you by just taking that curse, converting it into an equivalent amount of 'sin,' and taking it upon themselves.
The result shows up physically, (and mentally) and in order to purge it, they sit around meditating in cages for sometimes years at time until it dissipates. The cages are absolutely necessary, because of that mental aspect. It makes them horny, succubus'y, and almost psychopathically evil. If you absorb too much 'sin' without purging it, you can imagine the result.
And of course, because McNasty involved, they absorb that evil right into their asshole and/or mouth. As you can imagine there's a very, very long waiting list, and typically it's something only rich people can do. But for significantly less they can at least identify your curse. They're experts.
