As mentioned in a previous post, we are reverting to the original gameplay, plus something new and simple.
We will explore through a slot machine mechanic. Once clicked, it will trigger an exploration event tied to the hexagon you land on. These exploration events can range from good to bad, common to rare, and can involve resources, dangers, and more.
The new gameplay flow will look like this: Conquer territories > Explore > Find resources > Use resources or convert them into Bonding Desire.
Additionally, there will be two new mechanics: Desire Challenges and Debt.
Desire Challenges are similar to modifiers in Balatro, where you can earn additional points when converting resources into Bonding Desire at the end of the season. For example, converting apples might grant an extra point; or winning three battles using only power-class monsters could result in a 30% point bonus.
Debt: Each monster offers unique benefits when leveled up, but they can also cause trouble if overused without sufficient bonding.
Hopefully, these will be fun enough to keep us entertained in between unlocking new contents. We will aim to release some very rough prototype (Beta v0.5) first (or second^^) week next month.
