I'm glad you like my drawing of them! That's an accurate interpretation! They literally become family! And they willingly sacrifice for their family! That's why the Black Rabbit's Foot Clan should never be made an enemy, nor should their names be on their death list! No matter how strong an opponent is, they can never handle them all, as they constantly swarm everywhere, anytime! And while it's a rather erotic setting, they increase their clan membership through direct childbirth. If they meet a strong man, they'll marry him and join the clan. Or, they'll only accept strong males, allowing their children to join the clan. Those who inherit their blood will quickly grow into adults, and with training, they'll become formidable combatants! And as you said, for beings without weapons in the wild, like strong claws, horns, or thick hide, the most powerful weapons would be great speed and superior reproductive ability! They have those. And to compensate for the weapons they lack, they have learned various martial arts and weapon techniques! So, unless they are truly overwhelming, there is no one who can match them. Haha! So you can say this will literally be a very extensive family! Maybe they're easy to join though, but the initiation is that you literally have to help give birth to the next family members XD I read some interesting studies once, that showed Rabbits are too much of a well-designed animal. Despite their softness and cuteness, they produce babies more easily and in greater number than any predator like a fox can possibly hunt. Because of that, wherever rabbits exist they entirely take over the land! I could imagine something similar happening with your OCs! Although they seem not noteworthy, they breed so quickly and in such great amount that soon they are the entire population! And unlike rabbits, every member of these can fight as well, if threatened, and would gang up to protect their family members Isn't that truly the greatest weapon in the animal kingdom? Claws and Horns can't beat fertility!
