I'm preparing for the massive launch that this game will have with some overweight cuties. Rosalina and Pauline are next on the list.
Now, a bit of an update. I've been feeling stuck in terms of my drawing methods and style- and that's one of the reasons i've been delaying the comic pages. I sometimes sit to draw either pending pieces or due drawings for the month and wonder if i'm doing this correctly. Although i can immitate details, draw "quick" and actually play around with individual visual styles, (i.e. Evangelion's style, Pokemón style, etc) i personally felt like not going with it today, then I asked myself:
"What can i actually change, without chaging everything while also adding the visual cues that i enjoy the most?"
It's been a while since i took inspiration from other artists but recently i've been bombarded with amazing art and i still get hit with the "Damn, i wish i could draw like that".
I've always had two "versions" for my drawings, the fully rendered ones, like this Daisy piece, and the stylish more cel-shaded ones that i personally enjoy too. The thing is, i sometimes rely too much on my layers or the lineart process. I do believe that spending more time to add depth (literally) to the pieces is worth it.
This piece has some fresh changes while keeping the usual Toasty style, i had a blast switching up my inking brush and going again for a more expressive, hefty and volume-based piece. I hope you guys like it, thank you for reading my vent and let's see how this evolves... i kinda want to incline towards massive sizes with nice volume and rendering.
