v2.16 Features Poll

Hi Patrons,

With v2.15 now wrapping up and getting ready for its public release, our attention is turning to what's next. We've started planning the v2.16 development cycle, and we'd love your input on where we should focus our efforts.

There are several directions we could go, and your feedback will directly influence our roadmap for the coming weeks and months. Below is a poll outlining our current top ideas -please let us know what you think is the most crucial addition or fix for the next version.

We're excited to build this with you and can't wait to see the results. Feel free to add any extra thoughts or ideas you have in the comments below! As always, thank you for your support, and look forward to a v2.16.0-dev.1 coming soon!

Hello, I’m currently using Stability Matrix version v2.15.1 (Stable channel) and have already reinstalled all packages. However, when generating videos using the Inference module, the output format is incorrect — it only produces .webp files instead of proper video formats such as .mp4. Could you please confirm if this is a known issue or if there’s an update available to fix it? Thank you!

I would like to see in Add Package window. When a package is installed there will be a red note saying "Installed" next to the packages title.

I definitely think that inference tools should be the focus personally, right now the built in inference is something I only use for real quick rough outs for when I don't want to launch Comfy or Invoke. But it lacks some pretty basic stuff like out painting, or any form of adjustable raster guiding. If prompt que will eventually get us to bring able to run the same prompt through more than one checkpoint then I will pick that out of the options given, but I feel like regional guidance is the first step towards actual positionable raster guide images. Would be easier to know what to pick if I knew what it would enable in future versions.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and suggestions - we really appreciate the passion and ideas from our community. One thing that’s important to us is making sure that every package we add to Stability Matrix isn’t just “plugged in,” but actually delivers a smooth, tailored experience that feels consistent with how the rest of the platform works. That takes time, since every new package we add is something we also have to learn, maintain, and support long-term. If we were to just throw dozens (or hundreds) of tools at the wall, it would create a support burden we couldn’t realistically keep up with, and in the end, that would lead to a worse experience for everyone. That said, we totally hear you on wanting more flexibility. One idea we’ve been exploring is a “community packages” approach where users can bring in and share additional tools. Those wouldn’t be officially supported (so they’d be more of a “use at your own risk” option), but it could give power users like you a way to experiment with the latest tools without us needing to officially back each one. We definitely take into account all feedback, not just the poll results, so thanks again for sharing!

To be blunt, I think that you all need to add more tools. You can literally just go to Pinocchio AI and get some of those top tools that they have and add them. I don't understand why you're not doing this. Most of those tools are just singular tools that can be deployed.and easily managed in this platform or provide a way for us to add things to Sibilli Matrix so we can manage all our AI products to it because I'm really kind of frustrated with having to have separate installations of AI tools on my computer. I have two 3090s and it's a real hassle. Off top, I think you should add Magic Quill ,Photomaker 2,FluxGym and InstantIR
