Unbreadable | A Bulkamancer Webcomic

Hey friends,

Today, we would like to introduce 'Unbreadable', a webcomic side project of Bulkamancer Sculpts that is unrelated to 3D modelling.

We'd like to believe we know our audience and understand that a webcomic is not why most of you are here, so we'll limit to just this one Patreon post and won't be spamming you about Unbreadable anymore. However, if you are interested, feel free to check out more about it in our Discord!

For the longest time, we wanted to create our own unique setting with original characters and a story. We previously tried to dip our toes into it by sculpting loyalty-reward OCs and writing short backstories for them, but it never really lifted off. Believe it or not, but our team has been discussing the Bulkaverse lore for an entire year, endlessly rewriting and refining every bit until we were happy with the result. However, the main problem was getting all those stories across to a wider audience, outside of just 5 people who actually had a clue about its existence in the head of a single individual (that would be me) and even then continuously bickered about what's canon or not.

In the end, we chose a webcomic format to start telling the story and enlisted the artist Pongoj to draw it for us.

So, what's the synopsis of Unbreadable?

It all began with a cheerful, silly girl named Bulka, who loved pastries and hated the mundane. Nobody knows exactly how, but one day she gained the power to animate and control pastries. As if to spice things up, her friend acquired the power to mess with people's feelings on that same day and decided to start her own cult. It wouldn't have been such a big deal, but then things escalated, and the whole town paid the price in an event that came to be known as "the Night of the Living Bread." In just a week since then, hundreds of people in the town suddenly began manifesting weird and, more often than not, useless powers, plunging the town into utter chaos and forcing a large portion of the populace to flee. Weirder still, none of the power-touched people, who were later dubbed "crumbs," could escape the town. Those who tried lost consciousness and withered if they got too far away. A few months later, people adjusted to the new life in the town under its new name—Unbreadable—for they never managed to get all the angry living pastries off the streets. But the power struggle is far from over and many factions, both within and without, have a different future envisioned for Unbreadable and its inhabitants.
