I've actually gotten weekly updates to that Elvira story ready for two months or so and could probably go further, but that'd probably be pushing my luck too far, considering it's a commission and someone could get hit by a bus or insist on introducing a magical imp that only Bettie Page can see or something.
The other big fic is Shanking Shaw, and I'm going to try to take a big bite out of that this coming month. Then I've got an MHA story on the backburner, which I want to at least make slow/steady progress on. Then there's that Ghost Story thing which just kinda jumped out of me. I might be putting some more work into that.
Other than that, not much to report. I want to keep at the CYOA stories so that everyone who's been so generous as to pledge 3+ gets more than one poll a month. I might be able to squeeze another one out this month.
Lastly, I do make some pocket change out of this biz, and I try to pay it forward, so I commissioned a cover to the Bone fic you saw a little of.
I'm planning on self-publishing it for a modest fee. It's about fifty-five thousand words long, which is about the length of the pulp Westerns that it's inspired by, and it's a standalone novel, though it leaves room for sequels. I'm hoping to post the first few chapters around the usual places and see if anyone's willing to part with a fiver for the whole thing.
I know the big money is in Yeti erotica and the like, but I'm hopeful that people will pay a little actual cash for the good stuff. I know that hasn't worked out well for streaming services, but then, how many of them are smart enough to pack their product full of gratuitous sex and violence?
