✨New Art//Spring Bride (Persephone)

Flowers bloom, and golden light shines as Persephone kneels, surrounded by tower columns, waiting. Today, she is not only a goddess of Spring, but a bride--crowned in blossoms and swathed in spider silk veils, her heart is steady, ready to soon meet her love at the altar.

Oooh boy! Here is the FIRST demo of what I'm working on for our upcoming 'Creating mood with Color" tutorial. I'm super excited about it! I have a good feeling about this tutorial and I hope it will turn out to be as helpful as I imagine! The lecture is all written up! I am just in the process of finishing the other color mood demos and then it will be onto filming the voiceover, and editing!

I couldn't wait to show you this piece though, so here's the first! Expect to see some other versions of this piece with a very different feel soon. Teehee!

I hope you like her! If you watch the timelapse or look at the process steps, check out how much her face changes! I kept feeling like the initial drawing wasn't right, so I finally pulled up old drawings of her and then did paintover and holy cow! Her look changes quite a bit!
