The sheer force and speed displayed by Blake left Riser and Yubelluna with no doubt about his power. Unfortunately for them, it was already too late—
Boom! Boom!
In the blink of an eye, Blake appeared right before them. Without hesitation, he delivered a devastating kick to Yubelluna’s abdomen. She was sent flying like a missile, crashing through the school building with a thunderous impact. The structure crumbled into a pile of rubble.
As Yubelluna was sent hurtling away, Riser instinctively formed a fiery golden magic circle in front of him, faint sparks igniting within.
However, before he could unleash his attack, Blake spun midair and struck with a sweeping kick.
Crack—!
Boom—!
The sound of shattering echoed as Riser’s magic circle was obliterated by the force of the blow. The kick landed squarely on his abdomen, creating a powerful sonic boom. Riser was sent hurtling to the ground, carving out a deep crater more than ten meters wide. Rocks flew in every direction, and cracks spider-webbed across the battlefield.
“Riser-sama! Yubelluna-sama!”
Seeing both Riser and Yubelluna struck down in mere moments, Riser’s remaining peerage stared in disbelief, their eyes wide with shock.
Even Rias, Akeno, Koneko, Kiba, and Asia were frozen in place, stunned by what they had witnessed. Asia clutched her hands to her mouth in astonishment.
The only exception was Koneko, who cheered softly in her usual gentle tone. “Blake Senpai is amazing. Keep going!” Her serene enthusiasm stood out amidst the chaotic atmosphere.
Meanwhile, in the Underworld, the noble devils and elders who had been critiquing the match moments earlier were left utterly speechless, their stunned expressions akin to those of strangled ducks.
However, what came next shocked them even more.
Whoosh—Whoosh—Whoosh—!
In the sky above, Blake drew his silver-glowing sword, Frost Whisper, and raised it high.
In an instant, thousands of sword-like projections filled the sky, gleaming with an icy radiance that sent chills down spines. The dense formation of sword energy seemed to blot out the heavens, filling the air with an overwhelming aura of intimidation.
“...!!!”
Riser, who had just managed to recover, stood frozen. His twelve remaining peerage members, as well as the noble devils and elders in the Underworld, were left wide-eyed in awe. Even Rias and her team were spellbound by the apocalyptic sight, rendered speechless.
Whoosh—!
Before anyone could react, the sky full of sword energy rained down at incredible speed, like a torrential storm of arrows aimed at Riser’s peerage.
Slash—Slash—Slash—!
Amid their terrified expressions, the sword energy pierced through the peerage members one by one, turning them into pincushions. Their eyes were filled with fear and shock before their bodies dissolved into glowing particles, signaling their defeat.
Remarkably, none of the strikes hit fatal points, showcasing Blake’s terrifying precision and control.
“Riser-sama’s two Rooks, two Knights, one Bishop, and eight Pawns have retired!”
As the defeated figures vanished, Grayfia’s composed yet slightly shaken voice announced the results.
Gulp—!
Her declaration caused many spectators to tremble. Even through the display screens, the chilling aura of the sword energy was palpable.
As Grayfia’s voice echoed, Blake gracefully landed on the ground, exhaling lightly.
“Perhaps before, I could only unleash such an attack once before succumbing to exhaustion. But now, this level of effort is nothing to me,” he murmured to himself.
Boom—!
Suddenly, a loud explosion erupted. From beneath the rubble of the collapsed school building, a figure burst out.
An orb of fiery energy hurtled toward Blake. Calm and unflinching, he swung Frost Whisper in a smooth arc.
Boom—!
The sword’s energy collided with the fiery sphere, resulting in a massive explosion that filled the sky with smoke and flames. The power of the attack was evident.
“I see... You used the Phoenix Tears to revive yourself. It seems I underestimated the situation and held back too much strength earlier. That’s how you survived,” Blake remarked coolly, turning to face Yubelluna, who now stood, her clothes tattered and her body covered in dust, staring at him in terror.
“W-Who are you? How is it possible for someone like you to have this much power?” Yubelluna shouted in a trembling voice.
“You should already know who I am,” Blake replied with a shrug, slowly walking toward her.
“You monstrous freak!”
Yubelluna bit her lip in frustration. With a surge of her magic power, she summoned over a dozen magical explosive spheres and fired them at Blake.
Completely unfazed, Blake raised Frost Whisper again, slashing through the air to create a web of silver sword energy.
Boom—Boom—Boom—!
The sword energy collided with the magical explosions, triggering a series of deafening blasts in midair.
Slash—!
Moments later, several beams of sword energy pierced through the smoke, slicing into Yubelluna’s body. One beam nearly bisected her, leaving her heavily wounded.
“Riser-sama’s Queen has retired.”
Grayfia’s voice announced Yubelluna’s defeat with a tone of lingering astonishment.
“Die!”
At that moment, Riser’s enraged voice thundered behind Blake. At some point, Riser had stood back up, now surrounded by the blazing, high-temperature flames of the Phoenix Clan.
Those flames surged forward in a massive wave, threatening to engulf Blake entirely.
Melee fighters fear the powerful magic of distant mages. Although Blake's physical strength is extraordinarily robust and he possesses long-range attack methods, Raiser is confident. He believes that with his queen Yubelluna buying enough time, the firestorm he has amassed will completely overwhelm and incinerate this damned opponent into ashes.
Raiser thought grimly, his face contorted with a savage expression.
However, in the next instant, all of his hopes were utterly shattered. Everything changed because Blake now held another sword in his hand.
