Chapter 91: New Knight of the Round Table

Itogami City, Natsuki Minamiya’s House

In the kitchen of Natsuki’s house, a table was laid out with exquisite dishes. Arthur and Yukina Himeragi sat across from each other, surrounded by an array of delicate and fragrant foods. It seemed life here was indeed quite wonderful.

However, despite the tempting spread before her, Yukina sat blankly, though she had secretly swallowed several mouthfuls of saliva.

“What’s wrong? Why aren’t you eating?” Arthur asked with a puzzled look. “Or are you afraid I’ve poisoned it?”

“No,” Yukina shook her head. What occupied her mind wasn’t the food, but why this teacher was treating her so kindly. They weren’t even familiar, and she had been rather rude to him earlier. So why had he forgiven her?

“Alright then, dig in,” Arthur smiled warmly. “I’m confident in my cooking skills.”

“Is that so? Perfect timing—let me have a taste.”

Suddenly, a magic circle appeared, and with it, a small loli materialized. It was Natsuki, just home from work.

“Oh? Natsuki, you’re back?” Arthur greeted her casually. “Welcome back. Why the strange expression?”

Natsuki stared at him like he was a beast. Her eyes gleamed with contempt.

“I really didn’t expect this! You’re already making moves on your own student? You beast!!!”

“What! Natsuki, what goes on in that mind of yours all day!?” Arthur denied it instantly. He hadn’t done anything… yet. Even if he were to someday, that was for the future! How could she tarnish his innocence?

“That’s right! There’s nothing between me and the teacher!” Yukina immediately jumped in. “He just invited me to stay here for the night, and I’ll be leaving tomorrow!”

But Natsuki’s face only grew darker. She gritted her teeth and squeezed out the words, “Stay the night?”

She pointed her umbrella straight at Arthur. “You still say nothing happened?! You’re already living together!!”

Arthur could feel the migraine coming. This girl Yukina was going to be the death of him.

Helpless, Arthur slowly explained what had happened.

“So, in other words, you’re the observer sent by the Lion King Organization?”

“That’s right.”

Upon learning that the man before her was the top Demon Slayer of Itogami Island, Yukina became much more serious. This was, after all, his territory. She was naive, not stupid—she understood the need for caution.

Natsuki nodded in understanding but looked around, puzzled.

“Strange… where’s your little sister?”

Arthur hadn't explained that little Gilgamesh was actually his girlfriend. If he told them that, he’d be cursed to death!

“Her? I asked someone to take care of her, don’t worry. She’ll be back soon.”

“You know other people?”

“Of course. I’ll introduce them to you later. For now, let’s eat before the food gets cold.”

“Mm. I’ve been hungry for a while now. I’ll try your cooking today,” Natsuki nodded with a smile.

Yukina, beside her, had already started eating eagerly. She’d been starving all day!

“Alright, you two eat. I’ll go bring Gil back. That little one will lose her mind if she’s away from me too long!”

With that, Arthur vanished on the spot.

Seeing him disappear, Natsuki was filled with curiosity.

“Just now… was that space-time magic?”

“Um… is the teacher very strong?” Yukina asked. To her, Arthur felt like a warm, kind older brother—someone who made her feel safe. He was dangerously charming for a girl like Yukina, who lacked affection.

“His strength? Didn’t your organization tell you anything?”

“What? Is the teacher famous?”

“Of course. That guy once single-handedly defeated the entire War King’s territory of the Night Empire!”

“Even the True Ancestor?”

“Of course.”

“What?! I never imagined he was so powerful! He’s an amazing teacher~!” Yukina’s eyes sparkled with admiration. And he was a great cook too!

Seeing Yukina’s starry-eyed expression, Natsuki shook her head helplessly.

These little girls... But honestly, Natsuki-chan, are you really one to talk?

Meanwhile, in Britain

In the training grounds, Arthur’s elite generals were diligently practicing martial arts. Le Fay stood nearby, observing quietly.

After the first official meeting of the New Round Table Knights, Arthur had granted Le Fay the title of prince. Everyone who knew Le Fay accepted this without question—Arthur had declared that Le Fay was, in essence, another version of himself.

Off to the side, little Gilgamesh watched the proceedings listlessly, clearly disinterested. But as the oldest king, no one dared to say anything to her.

Just as the group began to rest, Arthur reappeared before them.

“My King!”

Everyone greeted him immediately.

Looking at the powerful figures before him, Arthur felt a surge of pride. These were his people.

“How have you all been lately? Le Fay, how are things going?”

“Quite good,” Le Fay replied. “They’ve gotten along well with me.”

“There are some things even the King shouldn’t know, right?” Lancelot added with a grin.

“Oh? Like what?”

“It’s better for you to stay out of women’s affairs.”

Arthur fell silent.

“Well, the main reason I’ve returned is to ask—who wants to go to the next world with me?”

“The next one? The one Gilgamesh mentioned?” Jeanne asked curiously.

“Exactly. With my current magic capacity, I can send up to four of you at once. I’d like you to act as support and investigate a few matters for me.”

Everyone exchanged looks. Eagerness flickered in their eyes, but no one volunteered immediately.

“Well, since you’re all being shy, I won’t hold back.” Jeanne Alter was the first to step forward.

“I want to go too! I’m so bored here!!!” Little Gilgamesh raised her hand excitedly.

“Alright, since it sounds interesting, I’ll go too,” Lancelot chimed in.

For the remaining spot, all eyes turned to Le Fay. But she shook her head, signaling she wasn’t going.

Just as everyone was trying to politely turn down the final spot, a graceful voice rang out.

“In that case, count me in.”

Everyone turned toward the voice.

It was… Guinevere.
