The outer red glow that you observe on the Ranmas is our attempt at that. It's true, we could have completely bathed their bodies in fiery light, but at the expense of clarity (such as seeing Ranma's transformed eyes). We strove instead for a balanced presentation. Perhaps if this request gets a sequel in the same location, we can dial it up even more. If I MUST complain about something, perhaps the heat effect around them should have been a wee bit more pronounced.
