Update #59 - New Horizons
Added 2024-06-01 21:22:57 +0000 UTCThe Year of the Dragon series has ended as well as the first part of the Force of Nature set that was planned for some time, but now we're moving on to bigger and better things! Well, that's subjective depending on your personal favorite Moemon, but the next series is definitely something I'm really hyped for.
If you're a fan of the Pokemon series and been keeping up with the newest season, you know what's next: We're heading to Paldeo!
"Wtfugg, I hate the new Pokemon, why Paldeo?!"
I'm not a particular fan of lots of the new Pokemon designs, but remember, this isn't Pokemon, it's Moemon! One of the philosophies and charm of the Moemon project has been the chance to use Pokemon you wouldn't normally use because of their cuter or more charming designs, and the Gen 9 Moemon sprites are very high quality, even if many are still incomplete.
It's also been some time since we've had both Starter Moemon and Trainers, and this is a chance to do both - starting with Liko, the new protagonist of the series (and she's so super cute!)
There's a myriad of new characters in the Horizons series, both protagonists and antagonists, and I've been itching to make some of them. Of course, that's just the trainers. More importantly are their "Partner Moemon"!
After the Rising Volt Tackler trainers and their partners, I'm also thinking of doing the Explorers, alongside some of their partners as well.
There's also a lot of random encounters we'll face...
...As well as some Legendaries...
...and the last few remaining Paradox Moemon.
On top of that, I also have plans for at least one scene this month, with potentially more depending on how much time I have. Scenes, of course, are few and far between, but when motivation / ideas come in, I have to capitalize on them, and I have a few ideas already. I just hope they manifest the way I want!
