PSA: BetterRepack 9!
Added 2019-08-01 05:50:58 +0000 UTCAs a reminder, ScrewThisNoise has updated his repack of Koikatsu, which I've just updated to. If you don't manually update your addons, I highly recommend you use the BetterRepack for maximum compatibility with my cards, particularly going forward.
I try to use as few mods as possible when creating cards, but sometimes a mod is just too good to use. And as I use the BetterRepack, I can't (or it's too much work) to identify any particular mod used for any specific card.
And there's a ton of goodies with the repack, particularly animal ears, tails, and wings. In fact, one of the upcoming Mega Evolutions (Charizard X) uses wings from a mod added in the newest Repack.
Installing it is simple:
1) Purchase an official copy of Koikatsu to support the devs! :^)
2) Download BetterRepack from https://sukebei.nyaa.si/view/2765719
3) Extract to a new Koikatsu folder
3a) Optional. In the new Koikatsu BetterRepack folder, you can remove any of the community cards added if you don't want to use them. This frees up bloat and reduces load times. You can also do this for any scenes, bg images, card frames, etc.
4) Copy your old UserData folder over to the new Koikatsu folder. Replace all.
5) Consider supporting ScrewThisNoise, without him this would be 100x more tedious!
And that should be it! You should follow the ReadMe though, as there may be additional steps depending on your configuration!
