WIP - Scarlet Forest

this is conceptually really hard to arrange. the original track is like a a round, where there's an A melody and a B melody that loop on themselves, which i don't particularly like. there's not enough build up to the B melody either, so i'm adding additional transitional phrasing in between to pace it better. don't worry, the playful quirkiness of the original track will be left intact in my version, but saved for the latter half. i want to really to make the mix sound as close as possible to a real orchestral hall.

I'm so beyond excited for this. There is a serious lacking for Scarlet Forest when it comes to re-orchestrations but I am very much looking forward to this as a finished piece. <3

Oh gosh, this is my favourite piece in Deltarune and your version makes me so happy, it really sounds like a live symphony and the gentle choir is amazing <3 It's interesting to see it as a calmer version of the original. Am I excited? Yes I am!

I'm not totally married to the slower speed. I might quicken the pace up. There's a lot more to tinker with

i didn't notice it until you pointed it out. i'm gonna change it back

This almost seems subdued compared to the original. That's not a bad thing, either. I've been enjoying the Musical Ghost's remix, which is slightly more energetic. Both directions are being creative with the original's style; it's definitely an unusual piece to arrange.

I love it so far. This is one of my favorite themes from Deltarune, and I didn't realize it until I heard your arrangement.

You used an "A major" chord for the fourth chord instead of an E major chord. Is there a reason for it? Regardless, I'm looking forward to the compete version.

<3 Absolutely love your work. The sounds you create (especially the improvised bits) are astounding and I feel like you should receive waaay more credit and popularity for your work. This was one of my favourite pieces in DELTARUNE, as such I have a few comments: 1. Are you planning on keeping it at a slower tempo than the original? Just out of curiosity. I like both! 2. When the strings come in with their rhythm at 1:12 I feel like the rhythm and dynamics should be a little bit more complex and varied across bars, also maybe quieter? Very, very much looking forward to the completed piece. :D
