And so we come to the first cameos. This comic will have a lot of them, as it's a fundamental part of the story and setting. We have three cameos today, one who I would consider a minor OC as there isn't a whole lot of art of her yet, and two others that looked quite different back in 2012. I assume that most creators have their universes timelines run in parallel with the real world, so running back the clock to when Amanda was about to head off on her tentacle adventure means these characters looked this way at this time.
Whitney is the exception, she didn't technically exist until 2015 and lacks a lot of backstory, and while Balina Mejeri didn't exist until 2014 she does have a backstory indicating roughly what she did before then.
I have been considering opening up a type of commission where characters appear in the comic, but without input on what I have them do. Wish fulfillment doesn't make for a good story, and wishing her problems away wouldn't be as satisfying as her overcoming... evils? Is it evil if a carnivore has to eat meat to survive, and by extension kill? Good and evil depend more on the circumstances than the individuals committing them, and having Amanda struggle to achieve her goals isn't really evil. More fun for us than for her though. Went a bit off track, the point is that if I did have paid cameos as well as selected ones it would be more inspired than instructed, and whatever comes out at the end is the end result, no changes.
