Mega Tsareena (Sketches and Revisions)
Added 2025-08-25 20:34:18 +0000 UTCRealize I haven’t really been posting a lot of concept stuff here, mostly because it takes a bit of time to collect everything and I’ll kind of just forget about them… Anyways! I already posted this design but I just wanted to share some of the revisions and sketches because this was a fun design process, I can see why its popular to be a Fakémon artist!
This started because I thought about Tsareena having a vine whip (as many do), so I really leaned into the vines + BDSM aspect. Also tried to keep in mind how other Megas add to existing designs and apply that to Tsareena BUT also not relying too much on previous patterns. Originally I was gonna design her with Grass/Fighting in mind, but I felt it might take too many cues from Mega Lopunny, I also originally gave her a fuller dress but felt it too similar to Mega Gardevoir. I was going to stick more to her original color scheme but I started adding black accents to differentiate them more and thats where the idea of a secondary dark typing came in.
One last detail that I really wanted to include is Bounsweet has a little frayed part where its feet are that is supposed to be the stigma of an actual mangosteen. Every time it evolves it grows higher into its body, becoming the turtleneck of Steenee and Tsareena. I decided to use that as Mega Tsareena's brim, though in this case the stigma is part of her hair (as you can see when I tried to draw how she would look with her hair down)
