I've had serious problems with timing and spacing in previous animation test which didn't alow me to continue working on this animation and boy did it take a lot of time to just become aware of what the probem was to say nothing of how to fix it. I'm a very inexperienced animator yet.
Here are 3 tests I made when I realized what to do next....
