Vocal Processing
raw vocals are one of those things that takes probably just as much time as the rest of the mix itself. the process involves these main things, and i do them in this order:
tuning
editing (removing clicks, pops, managing breaths)
timing
effect processing
honestly forgettable year of music for me. tbf everything was poured out on electromag and i wasn't working on a lot of different projects, mostly being outside and trading stocks probably. But a weird thing to look at back then since nowadays this is as much music i work on in a week.

ok quick little totally unpro tip here but just did this for a bass demo. getting the first kick to pop through the mix is so important cuz you don't wanna go through some crazy ass build up that's redlining til the drop and then the drop hits and you're like where the fucks the kick. biggest buzz kill ever at a festival.
