After the time it had with the Minotaur, the mimic's realized just how willing adventurers are to get milked by a dexterous tongue. Everything works out, the mimic gets a hearty, nutrient dense meal. And the adventurer has a good outlet for their frustration when they realize this dungeon doesn't have a boss.
