Weld County Colorado had the most tornadoes reported between 1952 and 2010 at a whoppin' 252. I've never seen a tornado there. Guess what county came in second? MINE! Harris County Texas. I've seen one wimpy tornado here.

This is the Simla Colorado Supercell and anticyclonic tornado from 6-04-15. After chasing 10 Colorado dud set-ups, I decided to choose KS the next round. Then this happened. Closest I've come to crying since Steve Irwin died.

Chasing tornadoes in Colorado is weird, and I haven't exactly been lucky there. Typically each year I'll chase 5 or 6 decent CO set-ups and then skip a mediocre day or two. Those are the days CO goes bananas with photogenic tornadoes.

Active week it seems. These target areas are gonna be like little metallic football players standing on a vibrating board game. We'll see how level the surface is the board game was placed on.
