Inspired by the real-life holy mountain of Kush, Gebel Barkal: worshiped by both the people of Kush and Egypt (after it was "discovered" by Pharaoh Thutmose III) for the mountain's resemblance to both fertility symbols and the Egyptian cobra symbology. In this concept the holy mountain is being defended against an enemy Dread Bull.

"A Shabtbot supports two Pakhet hunter-killer attack ships firing on the shoulder of a Menkhumit Siege-Mummy"
The first piece I developed for the AKHENATEN AD project, the ships are based on a design I created in LEGO while the Shabtbot is based on a replica shabti from my collection!

Exploring ideas for architecture in the world by taking a Kushite inspiration, using the temple entry and combining it with a wide brutalist sloped base for the pyramid. The layers of winged scarabs holding the sun is a common Egyptian motif.

The Kingdom of Kush -known as Nubia to the ancient Egyptians- in modern day Sudan is one part of Egyptology we're fascinated by. They were a subject country to Egypt and used as a resource colony but eventually they would conquer Egypt itself and rule for a dynasty of their own. I love the unique take on traditional Egyptian art with their...

Another Star Wars piece inspired by the 1970s Star Wars vintage paperback books, this one has a ton of deep and surface cuts from continuity: Chewie in his cold weather gear from Solo, Sana Starros from the new Marvel comics, his one-time girlfriend Salla Zend and domestic droid introduced in the Dark Empire series, and his droid Bollux from his...

I love for that vintage Star Wars aesthetic with a cover from the Holiday Special and the Nelvana animated short in that and their Droids series so I made up a cover for a 1970s paperback starring the Holiday Special’s Boba and Luke in a fab ABBA outfit Mark Hamill wore on a bizarre German TV appearance

I did up this sketch based on Chapo Trap House's latest entries in their Tabletop Game Theory series where they play Call Of Cthulhu in their Acme style 1920s where they face off against sickos eating children and diabolical Elon Musks played by James Adomian!

an illustration I did recently of my favourite pairing in Star Wars -and my favourite Star Wars characters- Luke Skywalker (post Return of the Jedi) and his former would-be assassin and now wife Mara Jade! It's a pen and ink illustration done up in watercolours and then scanned and brought into photoshop where I reworked some stock background pa...

one of the first illustration pieces I've finished in this new year! I've been big into Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen since their introductions in the comics and I was so pumped from seeing Into The Spider-Verse that I wanted to do a tribute piece and try my hand at referencing the aesthetic of the movie too, this ended up being an incredibly co...
