2020-05-26 22:58:30 +0000 UTC View PostAnother Mel-O-Toon. These are basically children's records repurposed into cartoons with the most limited animation possible. And there are lots of them! I've never heard this particular fable before, and this version doesn't do much to make it exciting. Maybe Guy Ritchie will direct a $200 million dollar live-action update of it for me. 2020-05-19 17:43:18 +0000 UTC View Post
Sorry I'm late but it's been quite a week. I'm happy and healthy but overwhelmed by lots of things and stuff. Here's the exciting (?) conclusion to American Look!
FWIW, I didn't chop these shorts up (This is Color 2, American Look 3, etc.), I found them this way. Now that this one's completely maybe I can cut together the full versio...
2020-05-14 12:54:32 +0000 UTC View PostMay's first episode is a patron exclusive! It's a stark vision of the future (of 20 years ago) and another love letter to the automotive industry from John Sutherland. It's all about safety, you guys!
2020-05-04 14:26:59 +0000 UTC View PostHey, gang! Josh here with a Monday night episode premiere just for my patrons. I like this short, it's Europy and weird and gives me a chance to dig through some unusual material.
I hope everyone's getting along alright. I can't tell you how much it means to me that you've all stuck with me through these difficult months. I'll never ...
2020-04-27 21:29:35 +0000 UTC View PostPerhaps you were under the impression that THAT was color? This movie respectfully and assertively disagrees.

2020-04-14 14:21:49 +0000 UTC View PostHere's our patrons-only episode for April, another cartoon love sonnet to capitalism from John Sutherland. Sixty dollar raise!!
2020-04-07 12:50:05 +0000 UTC View PostHere's an odd little experiment for you on a cozy Friday night. I don't riff a lot of silent movies, but this weird little thing seemed like a worthy exception.
Thanks for your support! It is deeply appreciated.
2020-04-03 23:53:53 +0000 UTC View PostThis week's short is an extremely 70's movie about growing up and having a job. It actually doesn't get much deeper into it than that previous sentence does.
Hey, I hope everyone is safe and happy, and if I haven't said it yet thanks so much for sticking with me through these weird days. I hope the videos give you a benign distractio...

Sorry for the slight delay and I'll do my best to continue to meet your riffing needs on a regular basis! This week's short is already written, I just need to get some time in the studio to...

2020-03-16 21:23:49 +0000 UTC View PostYou're going to learn a lot from this week's short, like the phrase "meat type hog" and the word "growthy." I'm so very sorry.

2020-03-02 22:56:13 +0000 UTC View PostThis film causally implies that there was ever such a thing as a Jack-in-the-Box that didn't play music. Like, how did that work? Insane, reckless assertion, no follow-up. Bonkers.
2020-02-24 23:57:57 +0000 UTC View PostI found this one when I was searching for Halloween shorts. It's substantially less scary and more pro-skeleton than I anticipated.

2020-01-20 23:16:43 +0000 UTC View PostA day late and several dollars short, but here I am with this week's episode. It's been uncharacteristically not very snowy here in southern New York this winter, so I'll just have to live vicariously through the tots in this week's short.
