The individual commissioning this was kind enough to provide me with a base mesh!
So far, the main changes were using clay build-up to broadly define the general form.
I reposed the mesh by masking and splitting the objects. It is a bit tedious, but very effective!

I LOVE using this to define the base meshes for my human characters. It makes sure my anatomy is in check, and saves me a lot of time.
I highly recommend it, but try not to use it as a crutch! Learning anatomy will greatly help your mon...

Victorian clothing is known for its luxurious detail work. This was one of those times that I REALLY wanted to dive into the details, but made sure to get the base done first despite that.
So, from my eyes I see about 1,001 problems with the sculpt haha But I know that when it is all together it isn't nearly so obvious. That is why I i...

My process for this is very similar to what I did for the face. This is described in the post right before this one if you want to check it out.
In BRIEF summary:
1. Append primitive shape like a sphere, cube, etc.
2. Use move and clay buildup to define the general shape.
3. Apply an alpha with clay buildup
So the arms, t...

To sculpt this I started with a sphere. Once i had the general elliptical shape, I used alt+inflate to define the eyes. I also used normal inflate to bring dimension to the face such as the cheekbones and chin.
Next I began the pull out the tree branch like bits on the top of his head. I masked a circular area first to make sure the base of...

Fun little picture of my minotaur print curing under a UV light. I typically leave my minis under the light for 15-20 minutes.
Make sure you rotate them so everything cures!
I also like to lightly coat the final product in clear gloss so it has some protection from the sun to prevent it from over curing. Otherwise your print may crack!

Make sure you aren't doing twice the work! This sculpt is fairly symmetrical. Since each element is its own object I can duplicate and mirror. The wings for example, were only sculpted once.
When working with thin elements like wings it is a good idea to mask the area you are manipulating. Otherwise it may warp the mesh.
IF you get ...

Those hands! Or lack there of? haha
Overall, I do like this sculpt still. Something that would have helped is by making the belts their own separate object instead of sculpting on top of the base mesh.
Make sure to take advantage of masking and extracting!
