Meet the Mechanic. Wonder what her real name is? She has interesting friends, though.

Tried to save time as well as set the tone by using mostly black spaces for the entryway.

I don't mind saying that drawing and inking the exterior scenes in Pandemonium was a real time-sink.

I had to think about how the characters would enter and exit the Super-Flyer, since it doesn't have doors. I figured the top and side windows could collapse/slide/morph out of the way so everyone sufficiently agile could do a classic Tom Selleck mounting. Diana had to simply clamber in and out.

I pondered what a 31st-Century parking garage for personal aircraft might look like. Would it have elaborate births, or simple spaces. I went for simplicity.

Diana realizes that this boss of hers was a much better friend than she knew. The memories of every sass and jab she ever gave him, so as to keep her distance, are stabbing her conscience.

It can be a real shock to see a friend on immersive life-support. And Montoya could have been a bit more sensitive.

I don't know why I find it so amusing, portraying lawyers as snakes. I kinda stole the idea from Howard Tayler's _Schlock Mercenary_, where he had a whole race of lawyer-snakes. But for William I. Montoya here I was trying to channel Kaa the giant Boa from the original Jungle Book movie.

Catching up to Too-Fiddy

First, thanks to everyone for their patience regarding my tardy reward posts.

Second, I've got 12 pages of pencils/inks lined up and will be posting one each starting today and for the next 11 thereafter. Ending on the 25th. It will be like the 12 Days of Christmas!

Third, there has been some concern among some of my readers regarding...

A word or two of explanation/excuse-making:

All patrons may have noticed that I've been late getting comics uploaded as of late, and the $2.50+ patrons probably also noticed that I'm way behind in posting the pencils/inks of completed pages.

I probably also owe some $20 donors a drawing.

The explanation/excuse is that my father, age 86, had a medical crisis shortly after Hallow...

Believe it or not, people sitting around a table, talking is rather challenging for me to draw. I have to position everyone so that the dialog works without crossing balloon-tails.

Patreon's been getting more up-tight about stuff like female nipples so to be safe I'm covering them in my posts here. If you want to see Diana's nipples just go to the Quantumvibe.com site.

I didn't remember until later that I'd already drawn a rather different version of the Smith & Holder headquarters back in the _Venus 23_ volume, which takes place about a year before this story.

Introducing Sergio Cooper. I know I already have another character named Sergio (Fritsch). What can I say, it's a popular name a thousand years...

Introducing Byron Tchakowski. He's sort of a mash-up of Milo Yiannopulous and the long-time Libertarian Party activist "Starchild," from San Francisco (what a shock, right?)

Nobody seemed to notice I left off the squiggly lines on Lorelei's tank-top, in the last panel. I was kind of surprised, as I've been called on much less obvious ...

Where were we? Oh yeah, Diana is about to get a makeover, sort of.

Well, Nerts.

Here I thought the pencils/inks for my strip had been updating at least through past Labor Day, and now I find they stopped on August 10 for some reason. Maybe a limit to how many I can put in the queue.

So, I'll be catching up this month.

Diana chose deClayre's home as a safe haven because she didn't want to reveal she was working for Alyss Roaz, and she had visited deClayre just the previous day, so it made sense to her.

(And yes, I copied a panel showing the deClayre mansion from a previous page. Then added more surroundings. One advantage of working digitally is it can loo...
