Hello! I'm finally back after a few months of hiatus.
I was off mainly due to making and finishing my art course in coloso.
It was very tedious and took me away from doing personal artworks and stuff but its worth the hassle.

At long last, finally, I can put this mini project to rest.

Decided to record the process of a recent commissioned artwork I did.

It was pretty fun but slow at the same time.

Been playing a lot of mystery VNs lately and that's where the inspiration come from.
Ame is already a time travelling detective, add in Kronii and you've got an unlikely duo.

My recent artworks featured a simplistic yet elegant style, which marks a return to my preferred workflow; animation-style cel-shading.
I find the charm of this workflow more appealing and expressive, simple yet elegant.
It's the story, the lighting and the background that carries the artwork.

The inspiration for this artwork just came out of nowhere. But anyway this is another paint on top of image.
The background image was sourced from Flickr. As you can see, color correction, balance and lighting changes the mood dramatically. I also painted and removed some things before blurring the background.

I'm still getting used to painting in ipad. For this I just used the default brushes included in procreate.
The layers system in the app is not as robust compared to desktop painting programs like Clip Studio or Photoshop, so I just compromised.
