Preview: Virtual Therapy Mod| Sims 4

I created a mod that allows your Sims to go to virtual therapy from the comfort of their homes or wherever they are! This mod is available for Teens-Elders.
SimMindCare was created with your Sim's mental and emotional wellbeing in mind. This virtual platform can be accessed from your Sim's computer and phone.

 Your Sim will need to purchase a wellness package and complete the mental health assessment test BEFORE they can access the therapy features. More features will become available depending on the package you choose.

SimMindCare comes with three packages:

• Basic Wellness Package (§150)
• Balanced Wellness Package (§250)
• Holistic Wellness Package (§500)

You can only have ONE package active at a time. If you want to select another package you must first unsubscribe (found under Customer Care). However, they will lose access to all of their features and will have to do everything over again. The packages and other features can be found under the various sub menus.

Under each submenu there are features such as:

• Completing Therapy Worksheets
• Speaking one-on-one with your therapist.
• Attending Group Therapy
• and others...

You can speak to your therapist in TWO main ways:

• In a one-on-one chatroom
• On a video call

Both features are available on the phone and computer. However, more options are available on the computer.

Support Group Chatrooms:
Your Sim will get the opportunity to talk with others in a support group chatroom. They can choose from a few different options:

University Student Discount:

College is hard! That is why Sims in University have the opportunity to receive a §50 monthly discount! They must:

• Be enrolled in either the University of Britechester or Foxbury University
• Have an active SimMindCare subscription
• Complete the Mental Health Assessment Test
 
This feature can be found in the Student Resources sub-menu. Note: Since there are technically no months in game, your University Sim will be able to claim this benefit every 7 days.

Crisis Hotline Chatroom

Your Sim will also have the option to access the Crisis Hotline Chatroom. However, this option only becomes available when your Sim is sad. Your Sim will get a notification and a random buff afterwards. They may be fine, or they may get sadder.

Customized Therapy Reports:
Your Sim will also be able to access their customized therapy reports every 7 days. They will get a random buff that lets them know what their progress is.

Say Affirmations:

I created an override for the Psyche Self Up interaction on the mirror. Now it's called Say Affirmations, and it comes with a new buff. 

Custom Buffs:
Therapy isn't easy! So, expect your Sim to go through a myriad of emotions; good and bad! Your Sim will get random buffs based off of their interactions. See a few examples below:


Minor Glitches:
• Because there is no direct animation for Sims to look and talk at a computer screen, I had to improvise lol. So, your Sim may be looking slightly above their computer when they are on a video therapy call.
• If you want to cancel the Sims Support Chatroom interaction, your Sim may still be typing on the computer, simply cancel the interaction to stop it.

• If you cancel your purchase on a wellness package before the interaction is finished, the game may still take your Sim's simoleons.

Disclaimer: I wanted this mod to be realistic, but I didn't want to make it too deep. I know how sensitive the topic of mental health can be. So, if any of the features are too much for you, do what's best for your mental health.
