Bright Start: An Overhaul of Aesthetic Entry Screens

And I believe these small changes can have such a great effect on whether someone wants to play their game or not. That's why I created Bright Start, which is an overhaul of twelve (12) custom opening screen and loading screen overrides that come in vibrant colors! This mod comes in three parts:
• Opening Screens
• Loading Screens (with a sparkle plumbob override)
• Loading Screens (with NO plumbob override)
• NEW: Main Menu Overrides
Here are the screenshots of the files below. They were taken without any editing (i.e. reshade, g-shade, other software.)
Opening Screens:
These opening screens override the original Sims 4 intro screen. I recommend downloading the NO INTRO mod which stops the short animation when your game starts. It's up to you. Click HERE to download that mod.

Loading Screens (with Sparkle Plumbob)
These loading screens come with a minimal sparkle plumbob that replaces the green one. They have the same name as the opening screens and will have _sparkle at the end of their file name. Here's an example of it in game:

If you don't want a plumbob override, that's fine. I also created loading screens that come with the regular green plumbob. They have the same name as the opening screens.

These are overrides that will replace the default main menu screen when you load into your game.

PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!
Opening Screen Instructions:
1. Select only ONE opening screen override.
2. In the zip folder, choose the file with the language YOUR game is in. (If your game is in English, the French file won't work, and vice versa.)
3. Place in your mods folder. (No more than 1 subfolder deep)
As of now the entry screens only come in 8 languages:
• Chinese (Traditional)
• Dutch
• English
• French
• German
• Japanese
• Korean
• Spanish
Loading Screen Instructions:
1. You can only have ONE type of loading screen in your game at a time.
Main Menu Override Instructions:
1. You can only have ONE type of main menu override in your game at a time.
IMPORTANT: Based on your screen size and resolution, the quality of the image may differ.

I haven't tried them ingame yet, it was the "LoadingScreens Sparkle Override" zip for me. Thank you for these though, they're beautiful ☺️

I've tested the plumbob recolors with no loading screen, with my loading screens, and with another creator's loading screen who updated theirs recently. The plumbob recolors are compatible with the update. They (assuming you all mean the ones by pinkishwrld) may however work with older loading screens. As a test, try placing the plumbob recolor in your mods folder with no loading screen, and let me know what happens.

2024-10-27 20:46:41 +0000 UTCIf Cheyanne means the pinkishwrld plumbobs, I'm having the same thing happening with these screens, but weirdly none of my other custom loading screens have had issues with the plumbob recolor so far (I use the loading screen randomizer). lotharihoe's loading screens, for instance, look fine with the plumbob recolor. So either I'm just weirdly lucky or the problem is more specific to these loading screens in particular than to custom loading screens en masse
