PlumJob Mod Updated

Hi everyone,

Great news! The Plumjob  mod got an update today that fixed the NPC spawn issue. An absolute huge thanks to midnitetech, for fixing that for me. With this update:

Highschool Years is required.
NPCs should spawn and show up at active careers.
NPCs should retain the careers they already have.
Sims will HAVE to pass an interview and have the required degree in order to join a career.

NOTE: This mod should not conflict with Kuttoe's Career Overhaul, seeing that there is a slight difference in our mods. But there is a potential that it might. If you find that it does, feel free to:

Report it to my Discord.
Download the No Career Impact version of the mod instead, HERE. This version does not require High School Years.

⚠️ NOTE: There’s a possibility that your playable Sims will lose their careers when you use this version of the mod, even if they have a degree. That is because they technically have not passed their interview, so the game will throw them out of the career until they do so. If you want to cheat this, Shift Click in your Sims and select the “Pass interview” cheat.

Make sure to redownload the newer version of the mod on the original post or just click HERE. Also, reread the instructions on the post if necessary.

Refrain from mentioning other mod issues under this post. Refer to my FAQs HERE.

Thank you all for your patience. We'll talk soon,

-elle

PlumJob Mod Updated

Comments

Hello, love the mod, trying to learn how to use it. What degree does a sim need for esports gamer?

Tia Washington

Hi, it does not need an update. It is compatible with the last game patch.

elle

Hi, when will Get Corporate get an update?

Tamiah Jackson

Hi, most likely be stuck unemployed lol. But the mod will not work at all because it depends on degree traits attached to Discover Uni. I always recommend having the required packs to avoid issues.

elle.

If I use the full mod but don’t have Uni or GTW, will my Sims still get jobs, or will they be stuck diploma-less and unemployed?

Mica Bo

Hey, yeah, not so much documentation, but if they wanted to incorporate it into their custom careers, they can reach out to me, about adding the resource to their mod.

elle.

Hi there! I noticed in another post/comment you replied to someone saying you added documentation for modders to add their own careers but I'm not seeing it. I also checked the FAQ -- did you temporarily remove it?

manic builds (alexis)

omg i was talking about a interview system should've come with the new pack. thanks so much

Flo

One of the best mods I've ever come across! Thank you!!! If you don't mind answering, is there any possibility of making custom careers compatible with the interview system? Obviously I'm not asking you to make all custom careers compatible, but perhaps something we can modify ourselves. Thanks again!

THANK YOU ELLE! And you know what i just came to comment the same thing, what if it kicked my sims out of their jobs because they were not qualified?? haahhaah I LOOOOVE THAT. Actually This willl be one of those mods ill never take out lmao. And thanks for the heads up, yes i'll cheat the careers of sims and make suure theyre qualified lmao

They found a way that basically identifies and excludes NPCs from needing an interview or degree, by adding them to my test reference

elle.

Hey, no worries, I don’t think this would directly affect them. But this might affect their chances of getting into college maybe. And as you know they need a degree to get into the career, so it could be like a domino effect kind of thing.

elle.

Hey hun thanks for letting me know! I’ll add this precaution to the post. This seems to be one of those unfortunate side effects of the mod. Some keep the career, others lose theirs. 🥲 It’s actually normal for them to lose their vanilla jobs because those careers have a “pass interview test” assigned to them. So the game throws them out of the career until they do so. Custom careers will automatically work because they don’t have that “test”assigned to them. Neither does the military, actor careers, freelancers, and 1-2 others. If you want, you can maybe cheat your Sim to pass their interview by shift clicking them and selecting the pass interview cheat. Just to be sure these are your personal Sims you are playing? If so, again, that’s normal. Non playable NPCs should keep their jobs.

Hey there! Only asking because I haven't seen this anywhere. If my sim doesn't have a diploma will they be always rejected or is there a small chance of getting the job? Thanks!

Morzat

THANK YOU THANK YOU
