So, I've recently been playing through the Lovestruck expansion pack, and was inspired to create a mini relationship mod that adds attachment styles to your Sims! This mod is base game compatible but requires the XML Injector by SCUMBUMBO.

This mod comes with four (4) traits that represent the four main attachment styles:

• Secure Attachment Style: Sims with a secure attachment style are confident and comfortable in their relationships. They form healthy, trusting bonds with others and are adept at balancing independence with intimacy.

• Anxious Attachment Style: Sims with an anxious attachment style crave closeness and reassurance. They often worry about their relationships and need frequent validation from others to feel secure.

• Avoidant Attachment Style: Sims with an avoidant attachment style value their independence and often feel uncomfortable with too much closeness. They may keep others at a distance to protect themselves from vulnerability.

• Disorganized Attachment Style: Sims with a disorganized attachment style display unpredictable behavior in relationships. They may fluctuate between seeking closeness and pushing others away, often due to past trauma or inconsistent caregiving

The traits are located underneath the Emotional Category in CAS (Create-A-Sim) and are only available for Young Adults-Elders. Also, Sims can only have ONE attachment style at a time.

Instructions:

In order for the Attachment Style pie menu to show up, you must have a decent friendship and romantic relationship with your partner. If it does not show up, continue to build up your relationship with that Sim! In order to access the menu, you'll need to click on the Sim you have the romantic relationship with. There you will find a few interactions based on your Sim's attachment style.                              

The Avoidant, Disorganized, and Anxious attachment styles also come with 1-2 self-interactions when you click on YOUR Sim. For these interactions, they will not need another Sim to complete. 

NOTE: Be careful with some interactions. Your Sim may get very angry or very sad, which makes it easier for them to die of emotional deaths!

Custom Buffs:
I also added a few custom buffs to some of the interactions. Note that not ALL interactions will come with a buff. Also, some buffs may show up on the Actor Sim (The Sim performing the action) while other times it will show up on the Target Sim (The Sim receiving the action) Here are a few examples below:

There are also notifications that your Sim will get for a few of the interactions.

I understand that there is some nuance when it comes to making personality mods. I also understand that there is more to attachment styles than what this mod portrays. Though a complex topic, this mod simplifies it for gameplay purposes.
