My grandpa would occasionally tell stories from his time in the Pacific; looking back I never fully grasped how close it was that I might never have existed. One stray bomb or bullet and he never would have made it back to start his family. Makes me so thankful for what our fathers and grandfathers did/do for us. Merry Christmas
