I didn't realize until playing Donut County that destruction and reducing entire neighborhoods to empty voids could be so endearing and charming. The art-style is consistently beautiful, music is easy on the ears, and from a gameplay perspective, DC manages to mix things up enough to endure the runtime.
What I didn't expect with Donut County was to be so entertained by its writing and visual comedy. The dialogue is well-written, the character's personalities are distinct, and the narrative structure ties into the game's levels in manner that makes you want to see what happens next.
Been wanting to play this game for awhile, and having finished it on Xbox Game Pass, it did not disappoint.
