I vaguely recall my family renting this movie out of curiosity, and me being very weirded out. I can't even recall specifically why, but I can hazard a couple guesses upon seeing it now. God damn, was I robbed though, because Spirited Away is a timeless film.
It's been twenty years and there are still only a handful of movies so visually spectacular, superbly paced, or so overwhelmingly heartfelt.
Watch it.
And it's time for me to binge the rest of Miyazaki's filmography.
