Do you believe E3 is reaching its twilight years? The existence of Nintendo Direct, State of Play and the pandemic showing that you don't need a massive conference hall to get people excited about upcoming games point to it being inevitable for me.
I thought E3 reached its twilight years several years ago, was honestly surprised to see it return and... kinda undramatically

Why haven't you played more Ace Combat? Smh
Because the bastards that made it won't let me flip the flight axis from inverted, so I can't jump into it easily. I'll need to grease my wheels.

If it hasn't been asked already, given the new promotional information from E3, what do you think of Halo Infinite's potential? I'm cautiously hopeful, but there's a very loud portion of the fan base that thinks 343i has made up for past performance thanks to some cool trailers and fixing broken releases over time.
I'm cautiously hopeful too. I've enjoyed all the Halo games to some degree (even Guardians, ignoring the Campaign), so I wasn't going into Infinite with total skepticism, but I wasn't going into it with any enthusiasm either. I'm still keeping my caution up, as I do with all games I haven't played, but the last year has gone to show how much a few tweaks can change public perception.
Infinite went from being utterly mocked for its development cycle, team members leaving, and obviously, its graphical inadequacies to people setting Battle Pass trends before it's even released.
The most critical thing about Halo Infinite will be its launch, because as someone whose enjoyed all of 343's Halos, the company hasn't ever launched one properly. Halo 4 lacked content and features, Halo 5 lacked even more content and features, and MCC was infamously broken for years.
Hopefully Infinite can shake the curse.
